Stefano Giovannoni, born in La Spezia in 1954, graduated with a degree in Architecture from the University of Florence in 1978. He lives and works in Milan. In his work as an industrial designer, he has designed so many best-selling products that he has been dubbed “Champion of Super & Popular during the 2000s” (Alberto Alessi), “King Midas of Design” (Cristina Morozzi), and “Most Bankable Designer” (Eugenio Perazza, Magis). 

He works with companies like Alessi, where he is the first designer to have more than 300 products in stainless steel and plastic (namely the “Girotondo” series, unrivaled family of best sellers in the history of design-oriented companies, with more than 7 million products sold; the “Mami” family of kitchenware, “IlBagnoAlessi” bathroom fixtures, and famous plastic products like Lilliput, Magic Bunny and Merdolino); and Magis (for whom he designed, among others, the “Bombo” bar stool -- the most-copied product in the history of design -- “Vanity” and "First” families); as well as Amore Pacific, Artsana, Bertazzoni, Bisazza, Cederroth, Deborah, Elica, Fabbrica Pelletterie Milano, Fiat, Hannspree, Hanssem, Helit, Henkel, Honeywell, Inda, KDDI, Kokuyo, Laufen, Lavazza, LG Hausys, L'Oreal - Maletti, Meglio, Mikakuto, Moooi, Nestlé-Frisco (art director in 1996), Nissan, NTT Docomo, Olivari, Oras, Oregon Scientific, Papernet-Sofidel, Promelit, Pulsar, Replay, Samsung, Seiko, Shaf, Siemens, Skitsch, Sodastream, SPC, Star, Telecom, Toto, 3M, Tubes, Veneta Cucine, Vondom, ZTE, etc...
